Dear Laney,
Today, we went to the airport to pick up the Crossley Family, who will be visiting us for the next few days. At this point, they are almost honorary Montanans.
This visit should be even more fun than their last visit, because you and Sam are older and more mobile and can play together. You don't seem to know what to make of her yet, so you spend a lot of time petting her. All the hours I've spent reminding you to be "Gentle, gentle" around Ella are finally paying off around Sam.
We pulled out the tub of toys tonight, and the one item in the whole collection of 100+ toys that you decided to wrestle over was an instruction pamphlet. Not the toy itself, mind you, but the instructions. I mean, look at Sam:
...you would think it was a new Tickle Me Elmo, instead of 8 pages of "Product Requires 3 AA batteries" in English, Spanish and French.
You always like it when people from LA come to visit us, because they always bring along their fancy schmancy electronics that you can experiment with:
We're looking forward to a big day of fishing tomorrow, weather permitting.
Welcome back, Crossleys!
Love,
Mom
