Girls' Day Out

Dear Laney,

Today, we went into town and had a shopping day while Dad stayed home and worked on his paper for school.

We went to the Farmer's Market, where all of the pirates from the Children's Theatre production of Peter Pan were running around asking us, "Arrrrr...Have ye seen Peter Pan?" You seemed to think it was pretty cool.

We met up with Virginia and Mollie for lunch at Dolce, where you ate graham crackers and peach puree and banana slices and a few bites of Mollie's lemon yogurt and focaccia bread with hummus. No one could ever label you a picky eater.

We hit Target and the sale at Old Navy, and you and Mollie were great sports all day long. In the buggy at Old Navy, Mollie stole the hat off your head, so you stole her package of wipes. You both seemed happy having something new to chew on.

In the check-out line, you nabbed a yo-yo and put it in your mouth, so we're now the proud owners of a new yo-yo.

Thanks for being such a sweet girl all day!

Love,
Mom

  1. We had such a great time, we came home and partied like the monkey drinking his shovel in our new clothes and diapers, sipping from our new sippy cup, and filling up the new garbage bags with all the packaging surrounding above items. Don't ever let me out of the house again!
