Dear Laney,
There's been a lot of talk in our house lately about Halloween, and what costume you're going to wear. For the last few weeks, you've been insisting you want to be a "princess ghost." I'm not really sure what that means, so I've been asking some follow-up questions, like:
Mom: What do you mean, "princess ghost?" Like, she was a beautiful princess until one fateful day when a drawbridge fell on her head and now she haunts the castle in a splendid purple gown?
Laney: No. My dress should be pink.
Yesterday, you got into the dress-up box and put this ensemble together, so there's a slight chance that this Halloween, you're going to be roaming the streets as a Heavily Armed Animal Rescuer Ballerina Bunny from Hawaii.
